Marco Van Basten The Netherlands play their practice matches against Cameroon (27 May, 20:30 CET, De Kuip Stadium), versus Mexico (1 June, 20:00 CET, Philips Stadium) and versus Australia (4 June, 15:00 CET, De Kuip Stadium).

Van Basten said, "The formation of the starting eleven can change".

During their training camp in Lausanne, Switzerland, coaches Marco van Basten and John van 't Schip a let their players play a few practice matches to determine the eleven starting players.

The attackers will be Dirk Kuijt (Feyenoord), Ruud van Nistelrooy (Manchester United) and Arjen Robben (Chelsea FC).

The midfielders consist of Mark van Bommel (FC Barcelona), Rafael van der Vaart (Hamburger SV) and Phillip Cocu (PSV).

The defenders consist of Jan Kromkamp (Liverpool FC), Joris Mathijsen (AZ), André Ooijer (PSV) and Tim de Cler (AZ).

The defenders may change because both backs Kew Jaliens (AZ) and Giovanni van Bronckhorst (FC Barcelona) didn't train in Lausanne. The remaining lines look set to stand.

Van Basten has already said he wants to start all three practice matches with his announced starting eleven. He also plans to have all 23 annouced players to participate at least a few minutes in the practice matches.

Van Basten said, 'The basic formation that I have now in my head, is quite good, but can still change. Players can hit quite awful form.'

'Therefore I want to see everybody play during the coming three training competitions' says the national coach.
